Well it has been about 5 months since my last message.
I don't have FaceBook so haven't been able to keep up
with all the news.

This past weekend 9/26/09 we closed up the trailer for the
winter, can't believe summer is over. Although today
did feel like fall. Wouldn't be going north for awhile
so going south, going to Branson 10/31-11/4, other than
that guess I'll be home.

Wonder where my message went!!! I had given you information
on my 4 day trip to the St. Louis, MO area. Visited Cape
Girardeau, Charleston area as well, the Azalea and Dogwood were in full bloom. Visited Anheuser-Busch Brewery,Union
Station and of course the Arches. Also stopped at Hannibal,MO
for tour of Mark Twains home etc. This week I have my Cancer
check up, evening meal with Traveling Bowling Gals, and I
better start packing up items for Garrison. We plan to go
early Friday morning.

Can't believe it's almost the end of March! Time does
fly even if your not having fun. Finished bowling
for this year, banquet was this week. Our team
came in 2nd from the bottom 2nd half and in first
half we were in 2nd place. Something is wrong with
this picture. Not much has happen around here, last
Saturday was our (travelling) bowlers lunch I had
to be called,they were waiting , can't believe I was
missing a meal. Came home, picked up Grams and went
back to Albert Lea for a Torsk Supper than down to
Emmons Legion for Ladies Nite Out and to celebrate
Phil's birthday. Nothing happens, but all in one day!
Tonight is Civic Music sure hope it doesn't snow !!!
Will see you at Easter. That Monday I have medical appt's
and Tuesday leaving on a four day trip,southern Missouri.

Well we were missed in last weeks big snowstorm.
BUT, it hit us Sunday morning for a good 1" plus
of sloppy wet stuff, then it was done. Suppose
to get another storm Tuesday, better not hit as
that's my last night for bowling. Other than that
not much has happen. Went to Arlington on Wednesday
with Grams for her work. We had a different lunch
very good. So I prepared it for Grams and Sindi on
Thursday as she had appointment in Alden here.

Looks like I don't proof until it's
to late!!!! My "main" concern not my
mean concern. Sorry

Looks like it's been a month since my last blog.
That could be because nothing exciting has happen.
My mean concern has been that my GOOD friend Alice
who I worked with for 39 years had a stomach aneuryson
this past Thursday, has been at Rochester since.
Friday her chances of living was 50/50, Saturday was
better as they had her sitting up !! Haven't had any
report as of yet for today. This Tuesday and next Tuesday bowling will be over for the year..yea! Can't believe it's
March already. I too got tax refund will be able to
good north this summer.

Just to let you know I'm still upright, haven't
fallen so fall this year. The last few days have
really been nice. Only after melting every day
I have a ice rink early each morning.

Haven't done much of interest to report, eat out,
went to ACT, eat out, did some shopping, eat out!
No wonder I don't lose any weight.

Sure glad this past week is over !!! Way to cold for me.
Therefore I didn't go anywhere, didn't even go bowling,
that night it was to get -30+ plus wind and snow and it
did. Glad I didn't go. Not much to report on my doings
only Saturday we had our travelling bowling get-to-gether
got home about 4:30 drove home in some BAD weather but then
went to MainStreet for supper with Grams and friends (Delores
& Margaret)then went to Grams for some cards.

Today after church the 4 of us went to the Moose Club for their
Omlett breakfast it was worth the money I have half of it in the
refrig. for tomorrow.

HAPPY NEW YEAR !
Nothing of interest has happen so far this year.
Warm weather, than rain and ice that's about it.
Well at less this week I'll know what day it will be.
Nice to have holidays in the mid of the week but it
really upsets the week to many Sundays!

Thanks again for the presents! The weather today is really spring like.
Must have been about 40, now I have water everywhere and I'm sure ice
by morning. Christmas day had dinner at Jane's and then later went to
the Richters for more FOOD. It started blowing the light snow around about
6:30 so had to leave early.....the drive home was not the best. Had my first
cancer checkup on Monday, everything going fine next appointment --April.

Finally I started to put some Christmas items up. Most all of my lighted school houses are in the
window the others in various places. That was
all that I was going to put up but then I got the
wall christmas tree down. This Saturday morning I
will have my travelling bowling team (8) here for
brunch, so thought maybe a few itmes would look nice
this is the only entertaining I have scheduled.SO FAR.
Should do more as it's a lot of work to get the
Christmas dishes out. My bowling last night was really,
really bad !! I had a whole "99" with a high game of
143, wonder what happened. We had snow last night
so I better get to shoveling.

Thanksgiving Day

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! Can't believe it's here already, tomorrow's blink and it will be Christmas. Other than last weekend not much has happen. Last Saturday
Grams and I went to Mankato for some shopping, can home early and took her to the
ER Naeve Hospital, spent 7:30 until 10 pm there (she has a bad foot infection, I'm
sure you will get the details in her Blog)Anyway I hadn't plan to spend most of
Sunday at the ER. She needed to go at 8am 4pm and 8pm for a shot in her hand and washing of foot. She went to work Monday and had the same schedule at ER. Doing ok now.

Going to the Richter's for dinner today so better starting cutting up items for one of my salads.

Well I guess my message of yesterday didn't get printed.
So will try another time.
Got my flu shot last Friday, should be illfree this winter!
Saturday was Alden's Craft sale at school, Grams,Sindi,Steph
and myself attended, not as much as some other years. Had lunch
at school and then I went to Legion Steak supper that night that
always is SO......good. Sunday night Bette and I attened Clavary
Baptist Church concert, not putting that on my calendar for next
year!!!!

Monday, Aunt Lucille came over and we attended Gladys Weyrum's
99th birthday party, she is still a very sharp lady. That night
I went to a Healty Holiday Cooking school for Diabetics... Nothing
good to eat !! Tuesday we had a bit of winter return....sleety and
rain in forecast....had a hair cut and decided not to in for bowling
by 5pm it hit but not for long...guess I could have gone (my age is
catching up with me). Anyway, had a good supper, neighbor Halane
came with goulash etc..(husband is in Missouri this week) Thursday,
we plan on having LIVER and ONIONS and she will try touching up my
water spots on the porch ceiling. Friday going to Owatonna to have
lunch with a former SW teacher and Saturday will have a RED HAT outing
in Wells, catholic church having something. Had eye appointment this
morning, every thing ok that a plus! I think that covers everything.

Time for a Up-date

Thanks Sindi for updating all! After about 3 weeks of daily trying, Grams
got the magic touch last night and all is working again. Hasn't the last few days
been something, I could handle another month just like today. Must be close to 70

I completed my 6 weeks M-F radiation treatment on October 23. Now I have a whole day to do whatever. So today I got up put my shoes on and started. Hung the drapes
out to blow,,,,,washed the curtains,,,hung them out,, washed windows and started cleaning the walls. Then decided to shorten the curtains which took time as my thumb on right hand doesn't work for sewing but got done and room looks fresh.
I'll be gone on Tuesday so Wednesday will finish the other half. This Friday night the Hollandale school has their annual supper can't believe the food they have, so we need to attend. Tonight is Civic Music,duel pianist. Should be good, and Saturday is the BIG Alden's Craft Show.

Aunties computer is having some technical difficulties. It keeps asking her for her new password and the screen is blank. Hopefully the computer tech guy that she is trying to get a hold of will help her out. Or, she could buy a new computer.

Catching up on blogging. Last week we had a very enjoyable Civic Music concert, Russian Dancers. Friday night was ACT production of Tammy Wynette life-Stand by your Man.
That was outstanding. Saturday,retirement party for Dean Sorensen, and supper at Main Street with Sue and Granms. Sunday the Andersen children had a early 90th birthday party for their dad, Uncle Benny birthday is in December but son's from South Carolina and Missouri don't like Minnesota in winter. (Benny is Grandpa Rudy's brother-in-law). Oh forgot had to have my picture taken Thursday for church book. (Maybe I can have Sindi update my 40year old picture that's on the blog!!!!!) The only thing on for this week is daily visits to hospital, I now start in the mornings 10:30 maybe I might get something done in afternoon.

Steph, glad you have started blogging. Same for you Andrea, glad you had time to visit us last week,

Past Week

One week down and five to go !!!
Bowled a great series again this week, this won't last.
Saturday was our monthly get together 8 bowlers (we were on the Albert Lea Travelling team at one time or another) serverd a waffle brunch with all the various topping. Can't remember but I think there were 8 or 9 towns we bowled at once a month. I do remember all the good food we had afterwards. Then Saturday night was the annual Lions BBQ Rib dinner was very tasty.
Sunday after church went to Austin, Grams needed a new ribbon for printer, Albert Lea doesn't handle carry it. Thursday I have an every radiation appointment 10:15 then we will leave for
Garrison, this will be the last time for the year.
