Catching up on blogging. Last week we had a very enjoyable Civic Music concert, Russian Dancers. Friday night was ACT production of Tammy Wynette life-Stand by your Man.
That was outstanding. Saturday,retirement party for Dean Sorensen, and supper at Main Street with Sue and Granms. Sunday the Andersen children had a early 90th birthday party for their dad, Uncle Benny birthday is in December but son's from South Carolina and Missouri don't like Minnesota in winter. (Benny is Grandpa Rudy's brother-in-law). Oh forgot had to have my picture taken Thursday for church book. (Maybe I can have Sindi update my 40year old picture that's on the blog!!!!!) The only thing on for this week is daily visits to hospital, I now start in the mornings 10:30 maybe I might get something done in afternoon.

- Growing up I have lived in Pine Island, Lake City, Amboy, Alden and Albert Lea. Graduated from Alden High School class of 1957 with 15 others. I started working that summer in Wells at Carlson Motor recording sales of tractor and car parts. Later that fall I left Carlson to move to the big town of Albert Lea and to have an apartment which I shared with five other gals above Petersen Funeral Chapel on north Broadway. We did have fun! Oh yes, I did have a job. I did the invoicing for F.W.Woolworth Departmet Store and also helped with payroll. After 3 yers I needed a change Off to Albert Lea Tent and Awning for 2 years. Then I heard of an opening at the Albert Lea School Districts main office. But before I was interviewed they had an opening at Southwest Junior High. I decided to interview for....well the rest is history...I was the principals secretary for 39 years. I retired at age 62 and haven't missed going to work, only the contact with people.
